Wellness Ministry

Wellness Ministry Coordinator:  Bobbie Kilgore

The Wellness Ministry is made up of healthcare professionals seeking to glorify God and share the gospel by meeting physical needs in our community.  We are excited about the opportunities God has given us to serve at Beulah Baptist Church.

Currently the wellness ministry offers Blood Pressure Screenings and Glucose testing in the welcome center of the gym on thethird Sunday of the month.  We also offer a yearly flu shot clinic.  The clinic is open based on the availability of the flu vaccine, but it usually offered late fall or early winter.  For those who are blood donors or are interested in becoming a blood donor, an annual Red Cross blood drive is hosted right at BBC.  We usually do this on the Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving.  Donors are greatly needed, so please come be a part of this. In addition, the Wellness team offers First Aid Support for many activities at Beulah.  If you have a ministry event that you would like First Aid Support please contact the Wellness Team.

The Wellness Ministry is constantly seeking out new opportunities for service.  In addition to our above events we will also be offering a CPR class this year.  This class will be open to anyone in the community interested in learning the basics of CPR.  A Critical Decisions class is also in the works for 2011.  This class informs people about end of life decisions and helps to guide in making those decisions.  This class will be offered to all ages of adults.

The Bible contains numerous recordings of Christ’s healing ministry.  The Wellness Team at Beulah seeks to follow this New Testament example by meeting physical needs and in meeting those needs, point people towards a relationship with Jesus Christ.
