Senior Adults
Senior Adult Ministry Coordinator: Rodney Gallmen
The purpose of our ministry is to encourage Senior Adults in worship and fellowship, promote unity and friendship among individuals and groups, provide information with various programs, broaden our experiences with trips to interesting places, provide ways to use our God-given gifts in the Body of Christ, our church and to draw new senior adult members into our fellowship.
We meet for a covered dish luncheon on the third Thursday of every month at 11:45 a.m. for good food, fellowship, and fun.
On Tuesdays at 1:45 p.m. we have Day Visitation. For the most part, we visit the senior adults who are sick and shut-in.
In the spring, we observe Senior Adult Day where our senior adults are given special
recognition in our worship service. The Senior Adult banquet is the Saturday night prior to Senior Adult Day where we enjoy a catered meal and a special program. Senior adults are also treated to a Christmas luncheon and program during December. We are open to anyone wishing to join us but this ministry is especially for persons who are retired or over the age of 60.
