Missions/Evangelism

The Missions and Evangelism Ministry of Beulah Baptist Church exists to glorify God by carrying the gospel to our community and around the world to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Here at Beulah, we believe the light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home. Therefore, we are committed to reaching our community here at home. That is, we are constantly looking for ways to demonstrate the love of Christ in our own local neighborhoods. There are several ways in which we do this. One of the primary ways is doing ministry through our LIFE Groups and Sunday School. The Bridge Ministry is the newest tool we use in this area. The idea with “Bridge” is to connect the church to the community. One of our newest areas is that “Bridge” utilizes the LIFE Group and Sunday School ministry to minister to families from the Beulah Elementary School. Through mentoring, “adoption”, and providing various needs throughout the year Beulah Church is impacting our community for Christ. Additionally, virtually every ministry through the church has at its core a heart for missions and evangelism because they have a heart for the Lord.
Local missions and evangelism is an important part of the life and ministry of the church, however, we do not stop at the Douglas county line. We take to heart the command of the Great Commission that the Lord gave to us after His resurrection. Currently, we have a partnership that is developing with the First Baptist Church of Inez, Kentucky. Additionally, our FAITHRiders go to Sturgis, South Dakota and Daytona Beach, Florida to share the gospel to bikers during bike week. We are currently engaged in various parts of the world and have new developing opportunities coming around in 2012. We are in our 3rd year of partnership with the people of Lampa, Peru. In this small village in southern Peru we have been coming along side the Christ Comes Quickly Baptist Church to train and encourage them as they are reaching their area with the gospel. For the past few years the Honduras mission has been a mainstay with the people of Beulah as well. Also, the slavic speaking people of the world have been ministered to by the people of Beulah as our attention has been shifted to the people of the Ukraine. Also, our people have a special attachment to the individuals of East Asia as well. There are more possibilities just on the horizon as we seek to follow the leadership of the Lord in this mission ministry.
Focusing upward on Christ and outward on people is what we are about at Beulah.
As we enter into the family of God we are compelled to “go into all the world.” I invite you to contact me if you are interested in any of the mission engagements that are offered throughout the year.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
